The Czech Technical University in Prague established in 1707 provides high-quality university education through an extensive portfolio of primarily engineering branches of study, conduct basic and applied research and numerous scientific projects with great emphasis on industrial use and applications. CTU through its research centers cooperates closely with domestic and foreign-based institutions and research and commercial companies. One of the research center established at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering is called Centre of Vehicles for Sustainable Mobility. Its experimental and simulation activities are aimed at development of new solutions and optimizations of the concepts of engines for both vehicles and power engineering and of vehicle powertrains incl. electric and hybrid ones and the integrated control with regard to efficiency, environment friendliness and utility value in the light of mobility.
